together this guide to help you easily reach the Courtyard by Marriott Westbury Long

Island.

ARRIVING BY AIR

Option 1 – John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK)

Recommended Airport

Approximate Drive Time: 45–60 minutes (depending on traffic)

Transportation Options:

• Uber/Lyft

• Approximately $60–$100

• Taxi

• Approximately $75–$120

• Long Island Rail Road (Most Economical) 1. Take the AirTrain from your terminal to

Jamaica Station. 2. Purchase a Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) ticket. 3. Board a train to

Westbury Station. 4. Take Uber/Lyft (approximately 5 minutes) to the Courtyard by Marriott.

Option 2 – LaGuardia Airport (LGA)

Approximate Drive Time: 40–55 minutes

Transportation Options

• Uber/Lyft • Taxi • MTA Bus + LIRR via Woodside or Jamaica Station

Option 3 – Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR)

Approximate Drive Time: 75–120 minutes

Transportation Options

NJ Transit + LIRR (Recommended)

1. Take the AirTrain to Newark Airport Rail Station.

2. Board NJ Transit to New York Penn Station.

3. Walk to the Long Island Rail Road concourse.

4. Take an LIRR train to Westbury Station.

5. Uber/Lyft to the hotel.

Option 4 – Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISP)

Approximate Drive Time: 25-35 minutes

Southwest,JetBlue,Breeze and Frontier Airlines fly into Long Island Islip MacArthur Airport

(ISP).

ARRIVING BY TRAIN

Long Island Rail Road (LIRR)

Destination Station: Westbury Station

The Courtyard by Marriott is only a few minutes from the station by Uber or taxi.

If arriving from:

• Penn Station (Manhattan)

• Grand Central Madison

Simply purchase a ticket to Westbury.

Travel Time: Approximately 40–50 minutes.

ARRIVING VIA AMTRAK

If traveling from:

• Washington, DC • Philadelphia • Baltimore • Boston • Upstate New York

Take Amtrak to:

New York Penn Station

From Penn Station:

Transfer to the Long Island Rail Road and board a train to Westbury.

ARRIVING BY BUS

Most major bus carriers arrive at:

Port Authority Bus Terminal Manhattan

From Port Authority:

Option 1 Take the subway to Penn Station.

Then:

Transfer to the Long Island Rail Road to Westbury.

Option 2

Take an Uber/Lyft directly to the hotel.

unpredictable—allow extra travel time. • Arrive early on Thursday if attending opening

events. • Coordinate rides with fellow Rattlers through your local alumni chapter. • Bring

comfortable shoes—you’ll be networking, celebrating, and representing FAMU all

weekend!
